As a society, we have so many negative connotations towards menopause - when a person goes through menopause, we think they are easily irritated, emotionally unstable, and difficult to communicate with. Why is this biological phenomenon of the female sex so villainized? At A Med Thing or Two, our very first task was to debunk the myths about menopause and reveal its true face. 

Diabetes is currently affecting millions of lives across the globe. In China, more than 224 thousand people have passed away with diabetes, which makes diabetes the 4th leading cause of disease-led death. Now with type 2 diabetes shifting towards a younger population, it becomes vital to understand diabetes so that people can practice proper preventive measures to reduce the incidences of diabetes in our communities.

Being the leading cause of death in many countries including Canada and China, cancer has affected many lives and their families. However, despite how well-known this disease is, many people often have little knowledge of what it truly is and what leads to cancer. Therefore, at A Med Thing or Two, we want to break cancer down and advocate for means to efficiently prevent this terrifying disease.

Although the ongoing advocacy around the globe has normalized open discussions around mental health, it is undeniable that stigma still exists, especially in Chinese communities. Therefore, at A Med Thing or Two, we hope to further debunk mental health and advocate for inclusion for people struggling with mental health.
